What does Confidence Level mean?

CONFIDENCE LEVEL is a qualitative statement. It can be used for rating trust in completion, data or highlighting risk and not at least to give subjective human rating to support the rated progress on initiatives and/or goals.

Progress in percent does not always tell the complete truth. Confidence level gives the possibility to raise the flag and supplement execution data with subjective knowledge.

CONFIDENCE LEVELS:

RED = ALERT

ORANGE = WARNING

YELLOW =  ATTENTION

GREEN = CONFIDENT

WHEN TO USE WHAT COLOURS?

RED

This initiative/KPI will not happen or reach the target. It is ultimately not expected to be delivered as planned in the current situation (no matter the progress of the initiative/kpi shown under execution).

ORANGE

There is a high risk that this initiative/Kpi will not happen as planned. I need X to complete it and/or depend on X to progress. If X will not be provided this initiative/Kpi will change into red.

YELLOW

This initiative/Kpi can still be completed without any added help (even though progress is behind), but it will be delivered later than planned. To deliver in time and turn it green, X needs to be provided or X to be removed. If not, it is agreed to be delayed.

GREEN

This initiative/Kpi will happen. No matter the progress of the initiative/Goal shown under execution it will be completed on the agreed deadline.
